WE HAVE PURPOSELY LEFT THIS PICTURE IN ITS ORIGINAL LARGE SIZE SO THAT YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE FACES OF THE INDIVIDUALS SHOWN.

Contributed by Wayne Hendon who writes:

"I’m trying to identify the people in this photo. It came from a descendant of William Stone, who died in Comanche County in 1900.

"William had two daughters: Martha Jane, who married Gabriel Ratliff in 1856. They had two children who lived beyond childhood: Melinda C. Ratliff (1857) and William Ratliff (1858). Gabriel Ratliff died during the War. Martha Jane married second, Henry R. Martin, Jr., in 1864. They had three children who lived beyond childhood: Ellender Martin (1865); Martha J. Martin (1868); and Sarah Martin (1869).

"William Stone’s second daughter was Margaret Stone, who married Enoch James in 1856. Margaret and Enoch had five children who lived beyond childhood: William S. James (1857); Andrew Larkin James (1860); John Richard James (1861); Thomas A. James (1862); and Martha James (1869)."
