Will of John STUNTSTON, deceased

This is to certify that I, John STUNSTON, of the county of Weakley and state of Tennessee, being of sound and perfect mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following.

First, I give and bequeath unto my son, James STUNTSON, one mulatto girl named Martin, and one hundred acres of land which I now live on, and one half of an occupant adjoining the same tract;  one sorrel mare, to him and his heirs at my death.  I do also give and bequeath unto my son Levi STUNSTON, one boy named Jamie, one hundred acres of land, a part of the above named tract, and one half of the occupant adjoining to it; also one sorrel cot at my death.  I also give to my daughter Juliea STUNSTON, one negro girl Succa, to her and her heirs forever.  I also give to Sally SUMMERS, one negro girl named Martha, to her and her heirs.  I also give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth SOMERS, one negro girl named Cutsy at my death.  I also wish my stock of hogs and cattle and sheep and three horses, to be gathered together and sold, and my debts and my son James STUNSTON's to be paid out of the above named stock, and the ballance of it may be equally divided amongst my children, William STUNSTON, and Nancy DUNN, to him an equal part of all the perishable property and money.  Also my negro girl named Sally that is now in law to be sold and equally divided amongst all the above named children; one negro girl named Jane, I wish to be set free at my death , for her natural life.  This my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six.
