Will of John Bunyan MOORE

Weakley County, Tennessee  January 6,, 1911

"State of Tenn. Weakley Co. Know all men by these presents that I, John B. Moore being in my 46th year of age and being in possession of all my mental faculties make this my last will and testament.

To wit: Being in debt to Jesse A. Speight in an amount of about three hundred and eighty dol. $380.00, it is my will that the south half of what land formerly belonging to my father, Silas Moore, a two hundred acre tract shall be sold, and my executor is hereby authorized and empowered to see the same and to pay the said debt to J. A. Speight and my other debts that may exist against me and my estate at the time of such sale.

The remainder, if any, to be equally divided between my wife and my three children excepting that from... I want my youngest daughter, Ruby to have one hundred dollars because of the fact that I have given each of my other children a horse.

To my wife, Emma, I will the use of all the balance of my personal and real estate during her widowhood, but in the event of marriage it is my will that all my personal property and the other hundred acres of the said Silas Moore tract be sold and the proceeds of the land be equally divided between my three children and the proceeds of the personal property to be equally divided between my wife and my three children.  It is my further wish and will that my wife shall have the use of the 65 acres known as the Nelson Kennedy tract during her life and at her death that it be sold and equally divided between my three children or their bodily heirs.

It is my will that any one or more of my heirs that shall object to any of the conditions of this my will shall be disinherited and is hereby disbarred from having any part of my property either real or personal.

And I hereby name G. Will Parish and Nelson Kennedy's son John C. Kennedy as my executors.  This Jan. 6th, 1911.
