Dickey - There are two girls in the photo, taken in front of the
Greenfield Drug Store, at the top of Soup Street. Soup Street
runs east onto East Main Street, where we lived. Our old home has
been replaced by a duplex - 129 East Main Street. The girls in
the photo are: 1) Nancy Holt on the left (married Fred
Clement who still lives in Greenfield) 2) June Claire
McDaniel (girl on the right), my sister. She is wearing her
basketball uniform jacket, was a cheerleader in seventh thru eleventh
grades, was voted "Prettiest Girl in School" her senior year. You
can't imagine my surprise when the picture came up. My sister nor
I had ever seen it before. Thanks for all of your hard work on this website. It brings back many memories. |
