215.  JOEL ROGERS - I’m wanting to know more about the Joel Rogers and his family who lived in Weakley County, TN on the 1830 Census.  He was to have purchased land, but it is my understanding that the land was already owned by another party.  Is there any connection between him and the other Rogers families that were in Weakley County at the time?  Is there a record of the names of his family members?  Also, is he the Joel Rogers who was mentioned in Blount Cooper’s will (from Henry County) which mentioned Whitmell Cooper and his wife Elizabeth Allen Rogers Cooper (daughter of Job Rogers).  Blount Cooper and a Joel Rogers were to have temporarily transferred ownership of a slave named Charles and others to Jubilee Rogers and John Rogers.  Apparently, later in a Dresden Court proceeding, Blount Cooper released Jubilee and John Rogers from holding the slaves any longer.  I would like to get a copy of those proceedings if they still exist.  Any information about this Joel Rogers and his family who lived in Weakley County from about 1828 – 1835 or so would be greatly appreciated.  [email protected]

216.  I am interested in the TUCK/COOPER families. Isham Tuck 1813-1884 married Catherine Brown - Son: George Calvin TUCK 1846-1911 married Susan E Woolbright - Son:William Peter TUCK 1868-1943 married Samantha Phillips - Son: Asa Hamilton TUCK 1892-1872 married Rosie Katherine COOPER - Son: Raymond Fields TUCK 1923-2002 - Interested in Rosie Katherine COOPER 1895-1970 and who her parents were. I currently suspect that her father was Epherm Sanford Cooper 1871-1941 and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Cooper 1874-? After this it appears that Epherm COOPERs parents are William B Cooper and Sarah Pickens but that Lizzie Coopers parents are possibly John Granville Cooper and Mary Martha Griffith. I feel confused and stumped…brick wall!  Anyone researching the Tuck/Cooper lines?  [email protected]
