A. Banker and Miss Mary Roark of your County, agreeably to an Act of Assembly in such cases made and provided. Provided, always, that the said Miss Mary Roark be an actual resident of this County; otherwise this shall be null and void, and shall not be accounted any license or authority for you or either of you, for the purpose aforesaid, more than if the same had never been prayed or granted. Banker of the County of McNairy and State of Tennessee, are held and firmly bound unto the STATE OF TENNESSEE, in the sum of Twelve Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, and each and every one of us and them, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Witness our hands and seals this 10 day of Nov 1873. The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That Whereas D. A. Banker has this day prayed and obtained a license to marry Mary Roark. Now, if the said Roark be an actual resident of the County aforesaid, and there shall not hereafter appear any lawful cause why the said Banker and Roark should not be joined together in holy matrimony as husband and wife, then this obligation to be void and of no effect; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
