SOMERFELDT. I can place my grandmother, Otille Somerfeldt, in the Fenwood area in the summer of 1912. However I do not know why she was there unless visiting relatives??

I am looking for Otille' parents - Mike and ???, and siblings, Alfred, Julia and Augusta. I believe Julia married a LOEWEN, and Augusta married a KRUGER/KRIEGER. These two married sisters lived in Michigan between 1920 and 1936. Otille married my grandfather Henry Schuetz, farming in
Neidpath, Sask. I would appreciate information on the Sommerfeldt family origins and
Otille's parents, siblings, and whereabouts of their descendants.

Thanks for any help.

I'm looking for information on my gggrandparents, Adam and Phoebe Mick. Adam was listed as living in the Whitewood area on the 1891 census. I believe that he and possibly Phoebe may be buried in one of the Whitewood cemeteries - either NW7-16-2-W2 or SE24-17-2-W2. Adam may have died during the 1890's - he's not on the 1901 census. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

In 1904, Henry Charles Barnett, his wife Elizabeth Ann and his children, came to live in Grenfell. They came over from England. It is believed that Henry had a job with the town of Grenfell. My husbands' grandfather, George William Barnett was one of Henry's sons. We're trying to put together a family tree and was wondering if you would have any suggestions of how to research more about Henry. If he did work for Grenfell, would there be any records? Maybe there would be records of the birth of some of the children that were born in Grenfell. They had 7 in all. We're not sure if 3 or 4 of them were born before arriving in Canada. One daughter, Patricia, married Gibb Tomlinson (not sure of the spelling)
and they lived in Grenfell. Any information you could supply would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance. Carolyn Barnett

I have amassed considerable information already on some 4500 Doukhobors and their descendants, and would be interested in meeting other people pursuing the same subject, and perhaps sharing information.

I have a photocopy of the death page from my grandfather's Bible in which he wrote that my grandmother and also his 2nd wife are buried in Stockholm, Canada. There is no indication of which cemetery it was, but I would suspect a Lutheren one as the family was Swedish and lived in the Excel District. His brother(s) may also be buried in the same cemetery as one lived in Stockholm at the time of his death. Are there any cemetery indexes available for Stockholm or any other way I might ascertain where they are buried? Also I would like to ascertain when the brother who lived in Stockholm died as I do not have that information but have heard a story that there seemed to be some mystery surrounding his death. Would you know if there is or was a newspaper in Stockholm or a death index available for the area?

I am looking for information on the LITTKE and MCEVOY surnames in Melville.

Philip and Wilhelmina Littke, my Great Great Grandparents, came to Melville in the early 1900s. Their daughter, Elsa, and son Jacob came with them. Jacob was born 24 July 1879. He married Anna Ahlers in Chicago before coming to Melville. They had a daughter, Rose, and she married my grandfather Thomas James McEvoy, born 16 September 1896.

If anyone can be of help, I would be grateful!
