Taken from "Tracing Your Family Tree - Sources in East Ayrshire" by East Ayrshire Family Library Service East Arshire library service had genealogy material in two places. The Baird Institute in Cumnock and the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock.
The Ayrshire collections include archives, books, maps and photographs. The resources include county histories, church histories, biographies and books on industries and towns.

charges will include any information found in the Ayrshire Census
