His daughter, Rosina Spitzer married Conrad Von Behrens, from Germany. The families moved to Niagara County, NY in the early 1870's. Does anyone have any knowledge of this family? Submitted by: Kathy Miller Steep -- Micheal Steep was born in Co. Limerick Ireland in 1810. He emigrated to Ontario with his wife Sarah (SHERWOOD) and at least 6 of their children around 1850. They settle in Thorold 1852. Micheal died in 1880 and Sarah in 1908. Looking for anyone else researching this or any STEEP/STEIP family. Upper Thomas -- I am looking for the family members of Robert Herbert Thomas (1881-1940) who was killed in a fall at the Toronto Power Company in November of 1940. I know he and his wife were buried in Lundy's Lane Cemetery. There were ten children --8 daughters and 2 sons. The children remaining at home were Doris, Pattie, Georgina, Leslie and David. The remaining girls were Mrs. George Tallman, Allanburg, Mrs. Joseph Thomas, Timins, Mrs. Harry Heximer, Kirkland Lake, Mres. C. Schatz, Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Mrs. Bruce Collins of Niagara Falls. Son, Ewart was at Eugenia Falls, ON at the time of his father's death. Would appreciate hearing from any family members. Mrs. Harry Hexim.
