Follick -- Matthias Follick appears in the 1851 Stamford census and the 1861 Crowland census. I am looking for a link to Follick/Vollicks living in Nelson, Wentworth County.

Foltz -- My grandfather was born April 15 1900 in Bufflo NY, his birth record indicates that his Mother was a Ida Mvkelvey born in St. Catharines, Lincoln County. She was 27 when he was born. His father is listed as a James Warner born in New York but living in Washington.  I am trying to obtain any information on either parents. Any information would be greatly appreciated. FOSTER -- Looking for the family of Mary Foster, married to   David MILLARD, their son Isaiah Karlie Millard born in Sussex County, New Jersey, in 1802. I  believe David is part of the Isiah Millard family  that lived in Stamford between 1784 and the 1790's and am hoping to locate Mary's family in the   same place and time. Any info on Niagara area Fosters appreciated.

Fritch --I am looking for any info on Florance Ella Fritch and her parents and related family. Florance married James Walke rWilliams probably around 1908. She died March 22, 1919 of TB. She had 1 daughter (my grandmother)named Doroth yCatherine Williams. James Williams remarried 2 more times before his death in Sept 1959. If anyone has any information on either of these two please contact me.

Gauthier -- looking for information on Phineas Smith b. 1783 and married to Lydia Edwards in 1807. Lydia Edwards was the daughter of Mehetible Swayze and Peter Hopkins. Phineas and Lydia lived in Thorold Township near Beaverdams.

Gilmore -- James GILMORE b Co Down, IRL 1812?; resided in Ontario by 1834; died 26 May 1886 Wainfleet (buried in Willsons Cemetery); 1m Elizabeth MUIR b 1813 Scotland d 28 Dec 1844 (also buried in Willsons Cem); 2m Mary GATES d 8 Sept 1904. Gurvine -- My 3rd gtgrandfather, John Gurvine and wife Elizabeth Nolan lived in Niagara-on-the-Lake 1856-1900. I have found burial and marriage records at St Vincent Catholic church. They had 6 children; most moved to US. Will share information.

Hamilton -- Seeking information on Dr Joseph Hamilton. Family lore says he was instrumental in fighting an epidemic in Ontario, and a grateful people named the city of Hamilton for him. (I have not disillusioned my mother-in -law by mentioning that the facts don't bear this out). Also seeking info on his daughter, Mary Hamilton, born 3/15/1835, Niagara, married Clement Alexander Cazalet, died in London, England, 2/16/1930. Haney -- Looking for descendants and ancestors of Isaac Haney who settled in Pelham-Fenwick-Thorold area approx. 1788. Isaac was said to come from NJ. He and Mary Drake had at least five sons, Matthew, Isaac Jr., Rev. Leonard (from whom I descend), James and Ebenezer (and possibly John).

Havens -- I am doing research on George HAVENS and his wife Elizabeth (RICE)HAVENS Family living in Grantham twp in the early 1780's they were married 1798, especially Lucinda HAVENS b.1812 that married Oliver FISH b.1807. Healey -- Looking for marriage of Edward Healey and Esther ?, supposedly Dec. 1870. Have checked Marriage Records of Ontario, 1869-73 and no luck, but I know they aren't complete. Probably married in St. Catharines/Thorold. Probably Anglican. Are there any church records in existence that I could check?

Hiles -- George Hiles. I know he lived in the Sherkston area and married Anne Ecker (who was born in 1869 and died on August 31, 1893). He died on December 17, 1922 in Welland. He was related in some way to Clancy Hiles who owned a tourist camp outside Dunnville.

Hiscott -- My gg grandfather, Joel HISCOTT,(1810-1900), with his brother John, came from the Somerset/Wiltshire area of England in 1829 to join their brothers, Richard & James who were living in Niagara. Joel HISCOTT married Eliza DRUCE, who was born in Wiltshire & lived in Niagara. They moved to Lambton County, Ont. Their son George HISCOTT, married Eliza Ann SILVER from Lennox-Addington County near Napanee & moved to Smithville, Ont. I am trying to find the town or area where the family lived in England & any other information about the family.

Hodgkinson -- I wish to speak with anyone doing research on William Hodgkinson, Loyalist, who settled in Grantham Twp., Lincoln Co. Ont. just after the American Revolutionary War.

Holditch -- The Holdich Family History Society (England) is conducting a One Name Study of the Holdich/Holditch name. A James Holditch born Devon England 1776 was attacked and robbed on board the "Sir Robert Peel" in 1838, which was burned at Wells Is. on a voyage from Prescott to Niagara. James died 28 April 1841 at Port Robinson. I would like to know whether his is the OCFA burial at a cemetery called Beaverdams & Smith at Thorold. He and his wife Mary nee Elliott had several chn. A son William of Sydenham married 5 Sep 1846 at Barriefield to Mary Ann Johnston dau of the late John Johnston, Fort Adjutant of Garrison at Isle au Noix. The youngest dau Elizabeth married 6 Sep 1848 to A. Bronson of Thorold. There are refs to Holditch at Stamford, Thorold & Bertie. The name also appears in the Diaries of Melvin Byron Misener.
If anybody from the Niagara region can update these details, add new refs or offer advice, we should greatly appreciate this kindness and thanks to all concerned for the use of this facility.

Huffman/Hoffman -- I am researching Peter Huffman/Hoffman from Bertie Twp., Welland Co., Ontario. He was born about 1835 in Bertie Twp., Welland Co. He married Susan Jane Anger on Nov. 6, 1855 in Fort Erie, Welland Co., Ontario. Susan Jane was the daughter of John and Susannah Anger. Susan was born about 1836 in Bertie Twp., Welland Co. Peter and Susan had the following children that I know of: Franklin Edgar (Francis) born Mar. 29, 1856 in Stevensville, Welland Co., Ontario. A daughter that was married to J.C. Husband -- Husband: Seeking information on all related to James Husband & wife Hannah Howee, m. in Pelham 1827 and living there through at least 1851; George Husband in Pelham from 1833-5 until his death in 1846--left wife Susan/Mary and 5 or 6 children who later scattered to Halton/Haldimand and beyond. Johnson -- William Johnson from St Catharines was the second vice-president for the Johnson reunion of 1936. The reunion was to have been held at Victoria Park, Niagara on August 3, 1936.
He is a descendant of William Johnson, from Yorkshire, who emigrated with his large family in 1832. I have information to share about the rest of this family and their origin.
