I have a book called Their Story: A Pioneer Days Album Of The Blaine County Area
Published 1977 by the Heritage Book Committee. I'm willing to do look-ups. There are several photographs of various pioneer families and several Arapaho and Cheyenne men.
I'm willing to do look-ups.
Thanks!

B. Smeets

Looking for info (newspaper clippings, photo) on Lt Col Ralph E. Lehr of Watonga (Blaine) Oklahoma,
who's plane was shot down by anti aircraft fire, 17 September 1944 in Holland, and killed in action.

He was the squadron commander of 86 Sqn, 437 Troop Carrier Group, 9th Air Force, stationed Ramsbury England.
The airplane was a C-47, serial number 42-108884, towing a glider to a landing zone near Eindhoven.

His last interment is probably in the States, not in Holland.
Can you help us, or redirect.

Thank you from overseas.
All the best from Holland.

BURKE, HOUSEWORTH
Hello my name is Ray Burke, and I am needing assistance with some genealogy research. Due to my cancer, am unable to travel, but I am willing to compensate you or another willing person for research information regarding my long, lost g-grandfather. Family Search.com (LDS) posted the date of birth/death, but that's all I can find.
Richard Daniel Burke b. May 30, 1869 d. Apr 14, 1947 in Blaine Co., Geary, Ok.
Spouse's name: Georgia Houseworth. I think he worked for the railroad.
Would like to know if there are any burial/death records, plot or tombstone for Richard in Geary, Ok.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much.

Ray Burke

Danese Dykes
DYKES
Hello, I am Danese Dykes and for eleven years I have been searching for a death date of Prior Lee (Pryer, Pryor) Dykes (Dyke in the 1900 census). Durilda, his wife, had a death certificate in 1925. I have that date and copy. Since Prior Lee disappeared after 1900, and his wife Durilda lived first with son Harvey in Roger Mills Co., then with Viola Farris in Blaine Co., Prior Lee was most certainly deceased. Can you help in finding a date or grave, or anything? I would appreciate your help with this small thing. I have tried every resource that I can think of. Danese Dykes

William C. "Bill" Hart, Gilroy, CA
JOHN A. STRAIN BURIAL PLACE
John A. Strain & I have a common ancestor named Abraham Strain. Family legend says that Abraham died while visiting his son in Oklahoma.

I found John living in Kingfisher Co. in the 1890 OK census. Others allege that he was a widower, when he & his children, Bertie, 14; Ben, 11; & Heber Strain, 8 moved to Watonga about 1894 because of the Indians. Family legend says John Strain ran a store in Watonga (probably until his death, 28 May 1898). So I think it likely that he is buried in Blaine Co.

I understand Oklahoma did not keep death records until 1908 (madatory 1917).

I would be greatful if you could find if and where John A. Strain was buried?

Laura Arney

I am working on the Walter and Laura Duncan family which moved around a bit following the father's work as a flour miller. The first born to this family was Geraldine Duncan 1916 in Geary OK. What I am looking for is the birth record. But I also want to know what mill Walter could have worked at in the area. I'm sure he would not have traveled far so I would limit the search to Blaine county. Do you know anyone who would like to take this search on?
Thanks
Laura E. Arney
