Query Text: I have an article written about 1935 by a Mr. Aigler who made the trip by covered wagon from Union County to Tiffin in 1848. He speaks of: "I wish to call attention to the cemetery which I mentioned as being near the Tiffin Rd. now on the Wickwire farm. To one interested in early Ohio history a visit to the cemetery would prove interesting. It is situated about midway between the county line and Mt. Pleasant Rd. Here rest many of the pioneers, who like myself made the journey from Pennsylvania to Ohio in a covered wagon" This is just last paragraph of a speech he gave in Bellevue. Is there a record of this cemetery - are there any stones. I'm looking for burial site of Susanna Moore (Mohr) who died about 1835.

Query Text: I am researching the descendents of 2Great-grandparents Peter Keller and Susanna Buchmann, who emigrated from Reischweiler in the Rhein Pfalz are of "Germany in 1852. They married in 1837 in Germany, settled in the Lykens Township, Crawford Co., near St. John's Baseline Reformed Church, and raised a family of nine children, who in turn married and farmed in Northern Crawford and southern Seneca Counties. At this time I have significant family information on the German ancestry of the Keller and Buchmann families, as well as on the descendents of five of the children of Peter and Susanna(Jacob, Louisa, wife of Henry Zeigler, Susanna, wife of Paul Shellhorn, Mary, wife of John Hartschuh, and Efa, wife of Jacob Zutavern. However, I have little on the descendents of the other four children of Peter and Susanna, as follows: 1. Elizabeth Keller, born Germany 1838, died 30 May 1913, buried Woodlawn Cem., Bloomville. She reportedly married Benjamin Kagy in 1870. 2. Adam Keller, born in Germany 1847, died 1912, burined Woodlawn Cem., Bloomville. Married Elizabeth Kagrise in Seneca Co., 1871. She died in 1926. 3.Christian keller, born Germany, died 1932, buried Woodlawn Cem., Bloomville. His wife was Elizabeth last name unknown, who died in 1912. 4. George William Keller, Born Germany 1850, died 1832. He married Mary Klaiss in 1883. She died 1943. Place of burial unknown. I would appreciate learning of nay other researchers working on the Keller or Buchmann families of Seneca/Crawford Counties. I would especially appreciate any information on the above-mentioned four persons and their descendents. If anyone has acess to the Tiffin newspaper obituaries for these four people, I would be very grateful. I will gladly share information I have on these families. If anyone from Seneca County has access to the marriage index for the time frame of 1860 or later, I am looking for the marriage date of a Mary STIGERWALT/STAGENWALT to a Frederick Esterly that is supposed to be in vol 2 p. 143. Mary was married to someone else in 1858, but I have no children listed, and her husband may have died and she remarried. If anyone can find this record, please respond privately to me. Thanks in advance. Dar in FL at [email protected]

Query Text: CRABILL, DENNIS, EVANS, ASHLEY

I am looking for any and all information on the CRABILLS who are buried in the Springville Cemetery on route 23 between route 224 and Carey, Ohio. They lived around Alvada, Ohio. Henry Crabill was married to Nancy Dennis, I have no information on her family other than her name. His father was a David Crabill who was married to a Mary Anne. I have no other information on her. There was also a Samuel Crabill connected to them. All of these people are buried in the Springville cemetery. Henry Crabill and Nancy Dennis had a son David Crabill who was married to Mary Effie Evans who was born May 26, 1865 in Melmore, Ohio. Her parents were John Evans and Lucy Ashley. John Evans was born in Wales and Lucy Ashley was born in England. They are buried I am assuming in Melmore, Ohio. Did they have any other children besides Mary Effie? David Crabill and Mary Effie Evans had two sons, John G. B Krabill and Wilbert Henry Krabill. As you can see the spelling was changed. Wilbert Henry Krabill was my grandfather. He was married to Ollie Alfaretta Thomas. He died when my father was only 7 years old so my father did not have any information on his ancestors. Wilbert Henry Krabill, John G.B. Krabill, David Crabill and Mary Effie Crabill are all buried in the West Independence, Ohio cemetery on route 224 between Findlay and Tiffin, Ohio. I was born in Findlay, Ohio.

There are other KRABILLS buried in the West Independence cemetery and we were never able to find the connection between the KRABILLS and the CRABILLS. I live in Tucson, Arizona now and am not able to get back to Ohio and would like all of the information that I can get on my ancestors. I am doing a family tree for my children and would like for them to know more about their ancestors than I knew.

Query Text: Am researching family Alpheus Miller and his wife Josephina Kalb of Chatfield Twp,Crawford County. They had eight children, three of whom died in Crawford County and are buried there. Am unable to find in Crawford County references the other five siblings, other than their birth dates in records of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Chatfield, as follows: Lidia Maria Miller(b. 30 Apr 1883), Jenetta Matilda Miller(b 1 Apr 1893), Mabler Orlina Miller(b. 1 Sep 1895), Bertha Karolina Miller(b. 5 Mar 1890), and Calvin Ward Miller(b. 3 Oct 1899). There is indication that these ancestors may have lived in nearby townships of Seneca County, however, available Seneca County marriage and cemetery publications do not include these people. Any information or assistance will be greatly appreciated. Will share information about the Miller siblings' maternal grandmother's Briegel family.

Query Text: My ancestor, Newton Long, died August 25, 1840. He was the husband of Maria (Shank) Long. I'd like to get this verified by a newspaper obit, or church record, or cemetery record. Does anyone know where I could get these records since Ohio did not register deaths at that time? Thanks for any help. Mary

Query Text: BOTSFORD-LONG Newton Long died in Aug, 1840. Mariah (Shank)Long then married Jonathan Botsford in 1846. I'm trying to find these people and their children. They are listed in the 1840,1850, and 1860 census in Seneca County, Adams Township. If anyone has access to an obit for Newton Long in Tiffin or to the census records I'd appreciate a response. Thank you.
