Lafe Beery

~ Re-Elected November  5, 1908 ~

October 19, 1905 Hocking Sentinel Newspaper

Lafe Beery of Benton Township, is our candidate for Infirmary Director. Almost every citizen in this county known  Lafe Beery. He is in the prime of life, active, energetic, careful, economical and thoroughly competent for the position to which he aspires.
Lafe Beery is especially strong in the west end and will draw a large vote from the Republican columns. In Logan he is very popular and will get a rousing vote here, and we do not believe he will receive a single scratch in the county. His kind, even disposition make him especially fitted for infirmary director. He has a common school education, is honest and industrious, a genial, whole souled man, a gentleman in every place and presence and will be elected by a rousing majority. He was forced into the race by the best men in our party, from all parts of the county, and accepted the nomination as a matter of party duty and public good. This office seeks Lafe Beery, and will get a good and efficient officer.
Lafe Beery has earned his little farm by the hardest kind of knocks, he grubbed and hoed and plowed and reaped, and is today one of the best thought of men in the county. He will be elected because he is fitted, is deserving. Vote for him.
