Velma Abshear Victor Tuck Velma Tuck, 88, of Hillsboro, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. She was born in Eldorado on July 6, 1919, the daughter of the late Preston Burrom and Kate (Newman) Abshear. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herschel Henry Victor; second husband, James A. Tuck, on July 10, 1997; two sons, James L. Victor and Keith Randall Tuck; and two brothers, Knott and Moss Abshear. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, [names omitted]; one daughter and son-in-law, [names omitted] ; eight grandchildren [names omitted] Texas; and a host of great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 27 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the New Market Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206; or a charity of choice.
