Obituary Abstract
| James Anthony McConnaughey James Anthony McConnaughey, 64, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at Highland District Hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1947 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Carmon McConnaughey and Elsie Caplinger McConnaughey of Hillsboro. Mr. McConnaughey retired after 35 years of service as an educator in the Centerville Ohio School System. He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, [omitted]; three brothers, [omitted]; two sisters,[omitted]; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. John Porter will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillsboro Church of Christ, 155 W. Walnut St., Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
