James R. Lyons

James R. Lyons, 69, of Hillsboro died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at his residence.

He was born March 24, 1938 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Albert and Voleta Malott Lyons.

Mr. Lyons, along with his father, had owned and operated Lyons Radiator Shop in Hillsboro for many years. He had also retired from the Cincinnati Milacron Afton and Wilmington plants after 20 years of service and had worked for Sherwood Auto and Camper Sales and the Town and Country Department Store. He was a member of St. Mary Episcopal Church, was an avid fisherman and was a 1956 graduate of Hillsboro High School.

He is survived by his wife, [name omitted], whom he married June 20, 1959 in Mt. Orab.

Also surviving are one daughter [name omitted]; one son, [name omitted]; one granddaughter, [name omtted]; two brothers, [names omitted] and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Art Lyons.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Charles Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Episcopal Church or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation of Cincinnati.
