Herschel Juillerat

Herschel Juillerat age 84 of Hillsboro died unexpectedly Monday morning, September 24, 2007 at the Highland District Hospital.

He was born November 18, 1922 in Macon, Ohio the son of the late Lawrence and Mary Carey Juillerat.

Mr. Juillerat was a lifelong farmer and had also retired as a rural mail carrier with over twenty years of service.  He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and the Highland County Senior Citizens. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II and was a member of the Highland County Honor Guard, a life member of the Raymond R. Stout American Legion Post 129, the Hillsboro AmVets Post 41, and the Hillsboro VFW Post 9094.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Ayres Juillerat whom he had married on September 24, 1949 in the Hillsboro Church of Christ, five children [names omitted], eleven grandchildren [names omitted], one great grandson, [name omitted] , two brothers, [names omitted], three sisters,  [names omitted], one special cousin,  [names omitted] and several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Cassie Conrad and one sister, June Pitzer. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. John Porter will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Senior Citizens, the Hillsboro Church of Christ or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.  The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
