Carrier
Frances E. Carrier, 86, of Findlay, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Arlington. She was born April 22, 1924 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Frank and Irene Hall Ashmore. Mrs. Carrier had worked at the Haggerty Shoe Store, Ayres Drug Store and Limes Jewelry Store while living in Hillsboro. While living in New Market, Fran and Lew were foster parents for 17 babies before they were adopted. Fran loved people and her calling card read "Friendly Fran From Findlay, Ohio, Flag City, U.S.A." In her later years, Fran lead Alzheimer's patients in exercises and swam with special needs children at the YMCA. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, [name omitted] ; one daughter, [name omitted]; one son, [name omitted]; six grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, [name omitted]. Graveside services were held Friday, Dec. 31 at the New Market Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Judi Wiley officiated. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family. Source: Times Gazette |
