HARNER

Phillip David Dave HARNER Sr., 53, of Wilmington, died 2:50 p.m. Friday (Jan. 4, 2002) at his
residence. His wife, Debora, survives. They were married 1980.

Mr. Harner was born Oct. 26, 1948, in Clarksville, son of the late Charles E. and Lucille Thomas
Harner. He retired from Harrison Radiator (General Motors), and owned and operated P.D.'s Lock &
Key Service. Mr. Harner graduated from Clinton-Massie High School in 1967, and belonged to the
Clarksville F&AM 323 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati. He was a member of the Springfield
Friends Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Harner is survived by two sons; and special friend; a daughter; a brother;
three sisters; and four grandchildren.

The funeral service were conducted by REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Wilmington, the
Rev. Crisp officiating, with interment in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.

HICKS

Verna Mae HICKS, 72, of Wilmington, died 4:55 p.m. Thursday (January 3, 2002) at Clinton
Memorial Hospital, Wilmington. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mr. Hicks.

Mrs. Hicks was born June 3, 1929, in Risner, Ky., daughter of the late James and Sarah Prater Hale.
She was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son; three daughters; two brothers; six grandchildren;
and a great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hale; and four sisters, Pearly
Prater, Thelma Ousley, Okea Haywood and Virginia Adkins.

Funeral services were held at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Wilmington, Pastor
McInerney officiating, with burial in Miami Cemetery, Corwin.

HOLTON

William HOLTON Is Claimed By Death - County Resident dies at home of daughter.

William Holton, 81, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alva (Rose) Brown, near Farmers Station,
Tuesday August 7, 1934 at 9:15 p.m. after a lingering illness. Death was caused by heart disease.

Besides Mrs. Alva Brown, he is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Anna McKinney, of Cincinnati;
two sons, William of Madisonville and Chauncey of Harrison; two brothers Ames and Ebe, both of
Cincinnati; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His wife died seven years ago.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m.at the residence of Mrs. Brown, with Rev. B. E. Wright in
charge. Interment in charge of S. C.Turner will be in the Martinsville Cemetery.
