DAVIS
Rannie B. DAVIS, 79, a resident of Lynchburg for more than sixty years, died
unexpectedly
of a cerebral hemorrhage at his home on Bobbitt Ave. around noontime Thursday
(Date of Article: September 25, 1964). He suffered the attack while working in the garden at his home,
although he had been in failing health for several years.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Landon Davis. He was born in Adams County on December 9, 1884,
but
had lived in this area for more than sixty years. He was a member of the local Methodist
Church,
the Jr. Lodge and the D. of A. Lodge, Lynchburg.
Besides his wife, Rose(Holton) Davis he is survived by two son; Harold of Cuba and Stanley
of
Martinsville, and one daughter, Mrs. Louella Mongold of Lynchburg. Two step sons;
Harley Brown
of Chicago, Ill. and Tom Brown of Stone Lake, Wis.,and three step daughters;
Mrs.Glenn (Goldie)
Wright of Country Club Hills, Ill, Mrs. Harry (Sadie)Williams of
Blanchester, and Mrs. Ralph (Illene)
Long of Sabina. Two brothers; Mack Davis of
Waynesville and Ottie Davis of Lynchburg.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Dave Williams of Loveland from the K.K. Davis
Funeral
Home at 2 p.m.,Saturday September 26, with burial in the Lynchburg cemetery.
