Luckily, this cemetery has an active Jones' Cemetery Association of about 25 people (many are descendants of  those buried).  They repair toppled & broken stones, rake leaves and clear overgrowth, and even have a new website at http://www.jonescemetery.org.  Residents of Alpha House fixed fencing, and the American Legion places flags on graves of veterans.  There is a problem with flooding in part of the cemetery, and land is running out here.  A local doctor recently donated a 2.5-acre tract of land (which will double the size of the cemetery) -- but this needs lots of clean-up.  They also need to pay for surveying and lawyer fees before the new land can be used .  The Cem. Assoc. has been holding barbeques and letter-writing campaigns to raise funds for this.
There are over 1000 burials here, with the oldest being Wm. Jones in 1835.
