"We now spell our name LYBOLT. My line is this man Jacob who died 1865 (above)
The line goes forward from Jacob Libolt > James H. Li-Lybolt, > William Lybolt,
> George J. Lybolt, > William H. Lybolt.... There is a land bounty for Jacob Libolt,
War of 1812, listed as a "Jr. "
UPDATE: Jacob is Jacob Jr. and his father is Jacob Sr.
The brother and son of these two Jacobs is Abraham M. Libolt."

"The family lived in Sugar Hill prior to the Civil War.  After the Civil War Azubah had
lost her husband, 2 sons (Albert & Edwin).  Two other sons (James & William) went West
for their land pensions and that left her with Heman R. Libolt who went into politics there
in Town of Dix,Schuyler county, NY.  James H. Lybolt returned or sent for a childhood
sweetheart after his first wife died they lived in Nebraska and Idaho.
Don't know if William ever returned to visit, he lived in Nebraska."
