Miss Scott Married in Baldwinsville
White candelabra and baskets of white gladioli formed the
background for the wedding Saturday, May 17, in the Methodist Church,
Baldwinsville, of Miss Ruth Lois Scott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.
Lyndon Scott of Baldwinsville and Peter Richard Heilig, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Peter Heilig of 425 Elliot St. The double ring ceremony was
performed by the Rev. Harry R. Reddick, grandfather of the bride, and
the Rev. John Lewien.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white chantilly
lace and nylon net gown with chapel train. Her fingertip veil was
attached to a lace cap trimmed with orange blossoms, worn by her mother
on her wedding day. She carried white sweetheart roses centered
with orchids.
The attendants were Mrs. William Auyer, Miss Marie Cole, Miss Mary
Jane Brady, Miss Helen Gates, Miss Katherine Ann Kinslo and Miss Louise
Chappell.
Richard Bourne of Oswego was best man. Donald Heilig,
brother of the bridegroom, William Reddick of Canton, John Townley,
Stewart Sanderson and Alan Baker were ushers. George Reddick was
ring bearer.
A reception was given in the Scott home before the couple left for
a motor trip to Cape Cod, Mass.
Mrs. Heilig was graduated from Baldwinsville Academy. Mr.
Heilig is a graduate of Central High School and Syracuse
University. He is a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and served
two years with the U.S. Army. -- END
