Unknown Photographs 2

Unknown Photos from Jackie Humphrey

These photos were in the possession of Mary Hinsdale and husband Charles A. Baker.  Both were born in the Town of Camillus, and married in Amboy.  Mary Hinsdale 1837-1905; Charles Baker 1836-1909

If these people are ever identified, I can provide pics to descendants.

Photos #1
The picture of the young man says Smith, Syracuse, NY (photographer?)

The picture of the lady says George H. Dygert, Artist, Jordan, NY

These surnames that are allied to Baker/Hinsdale in Onon. Co. for possible clues to these pics are Peck, Ellis, Parker, Knox, Larkin, Bates, Sperry, Cook, Evans, Cole.

The girl with the hat - Photog. Goodwin 60 S. Salina St. Syracuse.
Note that the address of Ranger and Austin and the address of Goodwin are all 60 S. Salina St., so one photog. may have gone out of business and the other took his place. This would be helpful in dating the pic.

The lady with the big necklace and earrings: Winter's Art Gallery 6 S.  Salina St. Syracuse. This lady possibly Jennie Ellis who married 1873 to Alfred Hinsdale.

The old lady in unkpic9 cannot be Ann Peck Hinsdale Townsend because she died at 61 yrs.  Thus, I believe she was Mary (McCracken) Hinsdale 1789-1883, d. Amboy, Onon. Co. at 94 yrs.
