BIOGRAPHY

CHARLES T. WINSLOW

Winslow, Charles T., p. o. South Alabama, N. Y., was born in Cambria Mills. Mich., September 20, 1866, a son of Edson J. and Sarah Ingalsbe Winslow. His father was a native of Monroe County, N. Y., and came to Genesee County in 1850. He has an honorable record in the Civil war; he was a corporal in the 8th N. Y. Heavy Artillery, and was severely wounded in the face at Cold Harbor, June 3, 1864; a surviving officer of the famous 8th Heavy Artillery has lately said, "There was not a better soldier in the regiment than Edson Winslow." C. T. Winslow received his education at Starkey Seminary; after leaving school he went to Oregon where he was engaged in the lumber trade for six years. He married Sarah A. Ingaisbe. Mr. Winslow is a careful and thrifty farmer, and is known as a man of intelligence, integrity and modern ideas.
