Uphill, B. B. was born in Lancaster, Erie county, N. Y., January 19, 1858. His father, Thomas Uphill, came to Genesee county in 1868, where he was a wagon manufacturer and farmer; he was prominent in the public events of his town; his wife was Ann Lear. He died in 1892. B. B. Uphill was educated in East Pembroke, and in 1880 married Mary Moore; they have two sons: William J. and Jared L. Mr. Uphill is a successful farmer, and a man of excellent standing in the community where he lives.
