OBITUARY: Vera Imogene Rogers; Conesus Lake, Genesee co., New York ************************************************ The Daily
News, Batavia, New York, February 24, 1926 Miss Vera I. Rogers, one of Le Roy's well known and highly esteemed young women, died at 10 o'clock Monday morning at Conesus Lake where she had resided for the past few years on account of ill health. Her death marked the close of a long period of illness, which compelled her to give up her active duties some five years ago. All during that time she had been cheerful, manifesting a true Christiam spirit. She was much beloved by all and leaves a large circle of friends. Miss Rogers was a daughter of the late Fred C. and Jennie Baxter Rogers and was born in Le Roy October 1, 1891, this having always been her home. She was a graduate of the Le Roy high school, class of 1912 and of Wellsley College, Wellsley, Mass. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and Promise Bearers class of the Sunday school and also of Olive Branch Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. After completing her education she taught for a time in the schools of Brooklyn and Rochester, teaching the latter city at the time she resigned on account of ill health. She is survived by one brother, Fred H. Rogers and a sister, Mrs. Stuart N. Willis, both of Le Roy. The body
was brought to the home of her sister, Mrs. Willis, from where the
funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. J. F. Leffler
