AUGUST RODY - OF BATAVIA, NY

August Rody was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, March 17, 1851. When 17 years of age he came to Batavia. He married Hannah Bromsted, and they have five children. In 1878 he located on the farm 'where he now resides. His brother Charles came to America with him, but died the following year. Their mother died in 1888.
