BIOGRAPHY HARLOW E. PARKER - OF ELBA, NY |

Parker,
Harlow E., was born in the town of Elba, NY, July 7, 1826, a son of
Sherrod and Sally (Williams) Parker. Sherrod Parker served in the
war of 1812, and was prominent in the growth and progress of his town;
he died in 1875 in his eighty-second year; his father was a Revolutionary
soldier. Harlow B. Parker was educated in the common schools; he is
one of the practical and substantial farmers of Genesee County; he
served as supervisor during 1872 and 1873, and had been assessor six
years; he has always taken an active interest in educational and religious
institutions, and he is greatly respected in the town where he has
lived all his life. In 1850 he was married to Almira J. daughter of
Daniel and Margaret M. Hooper; they have two children - Will H., the
present supervisor of Elba and Mrs. Helen M. White of Brockport. |
