BIOGRAPHY

JOHN McNAUGHTON

John McNaughton, foreman in the blacksmith shop of the Northern Pacific Railroad, at this point, was born in Genesee county, New York, in the year 1839. In 1848, he removed to Michigan with his parents, where he learned the blacksmith trade, and remained until 1866. He then went to Chicago, and two years later, to Duluth, where he was employed four years by the Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad Company, and since then, has worked for his present employers.
