BIOGRAPHY

FRED LEWELLYN - OF BERGEN, NY

Fred Lewellyn, youngest son of Frederick and Mary Lewellyn, was born in Bergen, August 18, 1849. He followed farming till the spring of 1885, when he removed to the village, where he now resides, still retaining his fine farm of 100 acres three miles west of the village. He is a dealer in agricultural implements. April 7, 1874, he married Minnie E., daughter of Barney and Harriet Sprague, of Batavia, and three children have been born to them, namely: Dean, born January 8, 1878; George, born October 31, 1881; and Roy, born September 13, 1884. The father, Frederick, was an early settler, coming to the town in 1827, and followed farming till his death, May 20, 1881. He was much respected by the entire community.
