EDGAR M. JEWELL - OF BATAVIA, NY

Jewell, Edgar M., was born in the Province of Ontario, Canada, June 9, 1864, a son of William and Elizabeth Jewell. He was educated in the public schools, and was graduated from the Ontario College of Pharmacy in 1882. For a time he carried on a drug business in Oshawa, Ont. In 1890 he came to Batavia and established his present business at 99 Main street, where he carries the largest stock of imported and domestic drugs, books, stationery, etc., in Batavia. Mr. Jewell occupies a high standing among the business men of his adopted village, and his influence is exerted in the promotion of the progress of the town and its residents. In 1887 Mr. Jewell married Eva Maud Guy, and they have one son, Harold Guy Jewell.
