Heal, Frank C., was born in Stafford, N. Y., September 29, 1858, a son of Matthew W. and Harriet (March) Heal.L Matthew W. Heal came from England in 1834 with his parents, who settled in Le Roy; he engaged in farming and served as deputy sheriff for nearly twenty years. Frank C. Heal was educated in the public schools, and for nine years was engaged in the produce business. In 1880 he came to Batavia and conducted a hotel for seven years, and in 1897 established his present business of feed, flour and grain. Mr. Heal is an enterprising, public spirited citizen. He served for a time as one of the trustees of the village of Batavia. In politics he is a Republican and always takes an active interest in the affairs of his party. In 1881 he was married to Josephine, daughter of the late George Ruprecht. Source:
