Ham, Philip, P.O. Oakfield, N. Y., was born in Columbia County. N. Y., April 5, 1831, a son of Philip and Catherine (Pultz) Ham. He received his education in the common schools, and through life has been a farmer. His first wife was Abigail Relyea, who died August 11, 1892. He married second, Mrs. Almira M. Duers, a daughter of Sterling Hotchkiss. Their children are Delbert Ham, who was married October 26, 1898. to Blanche, daughter of James Boyce; and Victoria Duers (daughter of William Duers), who married Charles Anthony, a school teacher; they have one son, Glenn Duers Anthony, a student at Cary Seminary. Mr. Ham is a well known and popular citizen of Oakfield, a prosperous farmer and a man of unblemished character. Source:
