JEROME GILLETT - OF BYRON, NY

Gillett, Jerome, was born in Byron, September 2, 1833, a son of Moses Gillett of Byron. Mr. Gillett married Harrie M., adopted daughter of Abiel Gardner, and they had three sons: Cleveland M., William H. and Clayton R. Mr. Gillett was one of the representative men of his town, and his death which occurred May 13, 1898, was a loss to his family and all who knew him. He was conservative in character and of sterling integrity. For many years he was proprietor of the hotel at South Byron.
