Elston, Isaac, was born in Scott, Cortland County, N. Y., in 1830, a son of William, born in 1805, and Matilda (Peck) Elston. His father was a native of Utica, NY, and his mother of Connecticut. For a number of years they were residents of Cortland County, where the mother died. The father came to Genesee County, where he died in 1893, aged eighty-six years. He was a farmer for many years and for a time a merchant in Crawfordsville, Ind. Isaac Elston was a resident of Charlotte, NY, for seventeen years, where he had a fruit farm. He came to Genesee County in 1884 and settled in the village of Le Roy, where he has since resided. Mr. Elston has one child living, Mary M., wife of Charles S. Kellogg of Le Roy; they have two children: Pierre E. and Frances E. Source:
