DR. GALEN K. EDSON - OF LE ROY, NY

Dr. Galen K. Edson was born in Maine, June 13, 1815, a son of Cyrus and Hannah (Hudson) Edson, who were both born at Bridgewater, Mass., in 1777. Dr. Galen K. came to Le Roy in 1842, and practiced his profession until 1878. His parents located at Rutland VT, about 1817. Cyrus Edson was a son of Ezra, who was born at Bridgewater, Mass. His wife was Rebecca D. Johnson, and he was grandfather of ex-Mayor Edson, of New York City. Ezra Edson was a son of Samuel, who was the fifth generation from Samuel Edson, who settled at Bridgewater, Mass., in 1692, and who built the first mill in the place.
