WILLIAM DRAKE - OF BATAVIA, NY

William Drake lived and died in Greene County, NY. His son Samuel, of Greene County, came to Elba in 1813, and died at the age of 90 years. He was one of the pioneers and cleared the farm where he died. He married Sylvia Thorn, of Greene County, and his children were Edward, Orin, William, Moses, Mary A., Jane, Stephen, Elvira, and Samuel O. Samuel O. Drake, born in Elba, September 7, 1818, married Almira, daughter of Stephen and Rebecca (Palmer) Johnson, of Batavia, and they have two children, Sarah A. (Chamberlin), of Buffalo, and Charles O. of Dakota.
