Amasa E. Dorman was born in Batavia, December 12, 1832, and was .an engineer and conductor on the railroad. February 19, 1851, he married Sarah, oldest daughter of Samuel Churchill. They had one son, George E., born March 29, 1854. George E. received a common school and academic education, until he was 22 years old. March 29, 1879, he married Nettie, oldest daughter of Alfron W. Howe, of Elba. She was born October 31, 1856. Mr. Dorman is a farmer by occupation, and now resides on road 43. His grandfather, Ira Howe, was a soldier of the War of 1812. FROM:
