James H. Dewey, son of Otis W., was born in Geneseo, N. Y., May 3, 1839. When eight years of age he moved with his parents to Batavia. He learned the carpenters' trade in Rochester. In 1833 he settled in Batavia, and has been building and contracting since, and now employs from 10 to 15 hands. He married Mary P. Bowe, and they have three children. He and his family are Christadelphian in their religious belief. FROM:
