Boyce, James A., was born in Kingston, Canada, November 22, 1860. His father, Stephen Boyce, was a native of the same place and came to Bergen, N. Y., in 1864, where he was a farmer. James Boyce was educated in the schools of Bergen, and began his business career in the hardware trade. In 1883 he established his present business and is now carrying a general line of hardware, paints and oils. In 1889 Mr. Boyce married Eunice, daughter of George Lewis; they have one daughter, Helen. He is a member of the Maccabees and is recognized as a man of energy, good character, and like most self-made men, capable and progressive.
