Charles M. Bosworth is manager for W. R. Bosworth, dealer in boots and shoes, 69 East Main Street. This business was started in 1877 by the present manager, in the Opera House block, and was subsequently removed to its present location, where a full and attractive line of goods are constantly in stock. Charles M. Bosworth, son of William R. and Susan (Wilcox) Bosworth, a native of Vermont, was born in Stafford. His mother's father came from Otsego County, at an early day, and was a tanner and currier. William R. Bosworth followed farming until he retired from active business. Charles M. was educated in the schools of Batavia and Rochester, and began business as clerk in the post office, where he remained six years. He then established his present business. He was married, in 1874 to Miss Fannie Smith, and they have three children, Clara L., C. Merton and Susie L. They are members of the Presbyterian Church.
