Dr. Elmina H. Benedict was born in Bath, Steuben County, and married Dr. H. S. Benedict, of Corning. She studied medicine with him and has practiced for the last 25 years. She located in Batavia in 1885, and has been a member of the Steuben County Medical Society since 1877. Her specialties are female diseases. She also spent one year at Geneva studying medicine.
