This cemetery probably contains more graves
than are identified as it is a known fact
that more grave stones existed 50 years ago.
The farm land under cultivation surrounding
this cemetery seems to be creeping into the
cemetery itself.
In her will, see Cattaraugus web site, Zulima
Root provided for a fence to be placed around
the cemetery. It is not know if a fence was
ever placed around this Root family cemetery.
This cemetery is located south of Franklinville
and west of highway marker 98 5101 1065.
