01 February 1990 Anchorage Times, Page B-6 Dale William OLINGHOUSE, born 04 January 1920 Lakeside, Nebraska, served 21 years in the Air Force. Burial at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Survivors include: his wife, Marian of Anchorage; three daughters, Debbil WILSON of Anchorage, Donna WATKINS of California; and Patricia GOODWIN of Dallas; three stepchildren, Joyce BARLIP, Leroy BARLIP III and Ronald BARLIP all of Anchorage; a brother Ray OLINGHOUSE of Danville, Arkansas three sisters Viola MALLOY of Danville, Selma ALMOND of South Carolina and Merna ROPER of California, and 15 grandchildren.
21 February 1990 Anchorage Times, Column 4-5 Wayne BROCKMAN, born 24 June 1947 Burwell, Nebraska, went to Alaska in 1969 as a pastor for the Assembly of God. He was working for Peninsula Airways when he died 17 February 1990. Services held at the Wasilla Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife Margaret BOYD BROCKMAN, two sons Jeremy and Christopher; his parents Herman and Crystal BROCKMAN of Nebraska; grandmother Mary WOODS of Nebraska and grandfather Bob BROCKMAN of Nebraska.
17 February 1990 Anchorage Daily News page B-2; Column 1-2 Pearl Minnie BOHRER, born 15 March 1917 at Eustis, Nebraska, died 14 February 1990 at Our Lady of Compassion Care Center. She was active in the Eastern Star, and a member of Auxiliary No. 4 of Pioneers of Alaska. She is survived by her husband Werner of Eagle River; her daughter Beverly BRADLEY of Anchorage; her sisters Iris COURKAMP of Lamar, Colorado, Ruth POIRIER of McCook, Nebraska and Lois WILDER of Decatur, Georgia and two grandchildren. Burial was at the Angelus Memorial Park.
17 April 1990 Anchorage Daily News, Page B-6; Column 1-2 Ethel G. MCALLISTER TURPIN, born 15 November 1915 at LeMoyne, Nebraska, died 12 April 1990 at Providence Hospital. She was the owner of Ethel's Custom Made Drapiers. She had been a resident of Alaska since 1951, having lived in Eagle River, Birchwood and Wasilla. Survivors include her husband Dick of Anchorage; two daughters Mary RYAN of Anchorage and Sharon SWEIGGART of Pennsylvania; a son and daughter-in-law Frank and Kim McALLISTER of Wasilla, a son John HODGES of California; a brother Glenn NEILSEN of Portland, Oregon; four sisters Mert ERNST and Vioal PEUSE of Portland, Oregon, Francis CAMPBELL of Mission, British Columbia and Perl COPPER of Bud Lake, New Jersey, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements handled by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary and Crematory.
11 April 1990 Anchorage Daily News, Page B-10; Column 3-4 Carolyn Rae HECOX, born 26 October 1929 at Kearney, Nebraska, died 08 April 1990 at her home in Kearney, Nebraska. She was a teacher having taught in Alma, Nebraska, Glenrock, Wyoming, Casper, Wyoming and Anchorage, Alaska; retiring in 1977. She was active in the Lutheran Church of Hope and sponsored an AmerAsian student from Korea. She enjoyed farming in Nebraska and had an interest in Alaska art. She drove the Alaska Highway 31 times and traveled extensively throughout the world. She is survived by brothers Hubert of Kearney, Nebraska and Spencer of Raytown, Missouri, three nieces, one nephew and two great-nephews. Arrangements were at the Luthern Church of Hope, Anchorage.

12 October 1990 Anchorage Times, Page B-6; Column 2-3 Harold Henry LAU, born 24 May 1911 Norfolk, Nebraska, died 07 October 1990 at Our Lady of Compassion Care Center. Mr. LAU came from a German background, his father having come to America from Germany. As a teenager he played baseball for a farm club of the Cincinnati Reds. During World War II he worked for Boeing. He was a resident of Alaska since 1974. On 06 September 1939 in married Guenlin MAULDING who died in 1969. He is survived by a son Larry of Anchorage and four granddaughters Wendy, Suzanne, and Tamara of Anchorage and Tiffany of San Diego, California.
23 October 1990 Anchorage Times, Page B-2; Column 3 John Dale RICHARDS, born January of 1933 at Cambridge, Nebraska, died 18 October 1990 of an apparent heart attack while returning to his home at Soldotna., Alaska from Hannibal, Missouri. He moved to Alaska in 1958. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Services were at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Hannibal, Missouri.
14 November 1990 Anchorage Daily News, Page B-4; Column 3 Mike A. MARKEL, born 19 September 1948 at Sidney, Nebraska died 10 November 1990 as a result of an automobile fire. He moved to Anchorage in 1968 and worked for the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union. He married his highschool sweetheart, Kathy in December 1968. He is survived by sons Travis of Arizona and Kelley of Anchorage, his parents Bud and Jeanne of Lodgepole, Nebraska; his brothers Dan and Bob of Lodgepole; Jim of Chappell and Steve and Bill both of Denver. Burial was at Lodgepole, Nebraska.

15 December 1990 Anchorage Times, Page B-2; Column I Reuben Lee PLUMB, a native of Nebraska, died 12 December 1990 at his home in Arlington, Texas. He went to Alaska in 1964 and remained until 1983. He worked for the Alaska airlines. Survivors include his wife Barbara of Arlington; three sons Tracy of Arlington, Steven of Virginia and Christopher of New Caney, Texas; a daughter Constance Lynn SHUMATE of Houston a brother Hiram of North Platte, Nebraska and three grandchildren.
12 August 1990 Anchorage Times, Page B-2; Column 2-3 Earl B. ELLINGSWORTH, born 24 October 1899 at Gothenburg, Nebraska died 03 August 1990 at Humana Hospital-Alaska. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Cavalry during World War I and served in France; during the 1930-s he served with the U.S. Merchant Marines as a seaman and boilermaker in the old steamships and sailed to China. He homesteaded 160 acres in the Anchor Point area in 1959 and later moved to Anchorage to work at the Fort Richardson Steam Plant. During the winter months he trained horses and followed horseracing in the lower 48 states. He was survived by nieces and nephews Connie PARGETER of Anchorage, Nancy FERO of Mukilteo, Washington and Gardner C. ELLINGSWORTH of Ojai, California; and cousin Ellen E. FOX of Willamina Oregon.
29 July 1990 Anchorage Times, Page B-2; Column 3-4-5 Lawrence Robert TIDEMAN, born 10 April 1933 at Hartington, Nebraska, died 26 July 1990 at Elmendorf Regional Hospital. His parents were Lawrence and Mae Tideman. In June of 1973 he retired from the U.S. Air Force as a senior master sargeant. Services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Margery and son Philip both of Anchorage, three daughters Kim HOWARD of Kenai, Kelly SYLVA of Oahu, Hawaii and Kerry AVERETT of Achorage; a brother Tom TIDEMAN of Hartington and nine grandchildren.
07 June 1991 Anchorage Daily News, Page B-8; Columns 2-3-4-5 Mildred H. BANFIELD was born in Fremont, Nebraska, died in Sun City, Arizona at the age of 77. She died 05 June 1991. She was appointed in 1963 to fill the two-year Senate seat vacated by the death of Elton ENGSTROM. She later was elected to four terms in the State House serving from 1967 to 1975 and representing Juneau.

He attended Phillips High School, Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska and many technical training schools. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1952 to 1960. He was a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his wife Lois of Anchorage, his son Mike of Anchorage; his sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Therese FALLDORF of Anchorage, and Larry and Dottie Rae FALLDORF of Homer; his sisters Velma MOSTEK of Omaha, Nebraska, Lois THADEN of Glendale, Arizona, and Caroline BAILEY of Des Moines, Iowa, his brother Virgil of Morro Bay, California; and his grandBryan, Jessy and Jake of Anchorage and Hannah of Homer.

We the undersigned, Citizens of Cheyenne County, State of Nebraska, and legally qualified voters therein, hereby petition to you, requesting that a new school district be set off from the west side of Cheyenne County, State of Nebraska, to include so much of said county as would be necessary to the formation of said district, which should include Antelopeville Station.
