Library staff is glad to help you use the genealogy collection. We are unable to conduct your research for you, but can assist you in using the sources and equipment available in the collection. Branch libraries in Drew, Ruleville, and Inverness each have books on how to begin genealogical research, but the genealogical resource collection for the Sunflower County Library System is housed at the Henry M. Seymour Library in Indianola. Items do not check out, nor are they available for inter-library loan. There is a scanner and a photocopying machine for public use. The County Court House is only 2 block away. We frequently refer genealogy researchers to larger, more complete collections at the Memphis/Shelby County Public Library & Information Center in Memphis, TN and to the Mississippi Department of History and Archives in Jackson, MS.
