Transcribed for the WWW by Cherly Sears©1999 Mrs. R.A. Jenne Ira Jane Bowdle Ida Jane Bowdle was born April 28, 1875, at Centerview, Missouri, to David and Amanda Bowdle. She attended the Normal School at Warrensburg, Missouri, and upon graduation came to Kansas. She taught at Grenola and then at Virgil. She was married to Robert A. Jenne at Virgil November 5, 1899. To this union four children were born. At an early age she united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church in Centerview, Missouri, transferring her membership to the Methodist church at Grenola and then to Eureka. She has always been active in church work as a Sunday school teacher and as an officer in various organizations. She died Tuesday evening, March 18, 1947, at her home at 316 S. Mulberry. The funeral service was held this afternoon at the Methodist church. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. She is survived by her husband, two children, Mrs. O.H. Ralph of Russell, Kansas, and Mrs. A.J. Strobel of Topeka; four grandchildren, Bob, Thurlow, and Harlan Ralph of Russell and Carol Ann Strobel of Topeka; one niece, Mrs. Ted R. Krohn of Wichita Falls, Texas; and one nephew, Leland Jones of Webster Groves, Mo. Funeral service was held Thursday, March 20, at the Methodist church, with the Rev. A.W. Johnson in charge. THOMAS THEODORE ``THEO'' BALDWIN Thomas Theodore ``Theo'' Baldwin, 84, Holden, MO, died Monday, January 20, 1997, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 23, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Holden, with Father Ernie Gauthier serving as celebrant; burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg. Prayer services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, at Williams Funeral Chapel, Holden, with a visitation following from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Holden Ministerial Alliance or St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Theo was born Sunday, January 5, 1913, in Valley City, MO, the son of Otto Baldwin and Lena Blake Baldwin. He had lived in Holden since 1983. He worked for Knaus Truck Line in Kansas City for 30 years, retiring as supervisor in 1981. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Holden. He was a member of the Holden Lodge No. 262 A.F. & A.M., Westport Chapter No. 134 Royal Arch Masons, Westport Commandary No. 68 Knights Templar, Westport Council No. 38 Cryptic Masons, and the Ararat Shrine Temple, all in Kansas City, MO. He married Vivian Barker, who preceded him in death. He married Frances Shore, July 9, 1983, in Holden; she survives of the home. Theo is survived by a daughter, Sally Kinsey, Oak Grove, MO; a stepson, Charles Shore, and wife, Connie, Holden, MO; two grandsons; four stepgrandchil - dren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Tressie Smarr, Clinton, MO, Mary Rehkop, Knob Noster, MO, Virginia Detwiler, Naples, FL, and Edna Twney, Gladstone, MO; and a brother, Marion Baldwin, Kansas City, MO.
