JOCY KATHERN WHITE Jocy Kathern White, 91, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at Pleasant Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 1, 1909 near Bates City, Missouri, a daughter of Thomas E. and Mallisie Jane (McCormic) Early. She lived her early years in the Bates City and Odessa communities, and graduated from Bates City High School in 1929. On May 31, 1930 she married Albert James White in Bonnville, Missouri. To this union were born a daughter, Clara Jane, and two sons who died in infancy. The family moved from Lee's Summit to Kingsville in 1947. She worked on the farm milking and farming with her husband until Mr. White preceded her in death January 11, 1973. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Pleasant Hill, MO. She leaves her daughter, Clara Jane Brown and husband, Kenion, Kingsville; four grandchildren, Gregory Brown and wife, Judi, Chilhowee; Theresa Ward and husband Ronald, Kingsville, Laurie Hicks and husband, Richard, Belton, and Wendy Bostwick and husband Calvin, Independence; a sister, Maude Miller, Odessa; nine great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and 13 great-great-great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, three sisters, and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 10, 2001 at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden, MO. The Reverend Chris Nelson officiated. Pallbearers were Rick Hicks, Greg Brown, Calvin Bostwick, Ron Ward, Duane Early, and Cecil Edward Early. Honorary pallbearers were Don Merrill, Dennis Early, and Tom Rymer. Interment was at Bates City Cemetery, Bates City, Missouri. DARYL NOWELL Daryl Nowell, passed away at his home in St. Joseph, Missouri, Sunday, March 11, 2001, the son of the late Lloyd Nowell, formerly of Holden. He was 57 years old. He is a nephew of Lucille Geary, Holden.
