RENA FRANCES KINNEY Rena Frances Kinney, 91, Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at Warrensburg Manor Care Center, Warrensburg, Missouri. She was born January 6, 1910 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. On February 1, 1928 she married Thomas LaNute Kinney in Paola, Kansas. He preceded her in death May 20, 1957. Mrs. Kinney has lived in the Kingsville and Holden areas most of her life. She moved to Warrensburg about a year ago. She had worked for five years as a cook and dietician at the Holden Hospital, and 15 years as a seamstress for Holden Manufacturing in Holden. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Kinney was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holden and an active participant in the many programs and classes at the church. She will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by four sons, Thomas LaNute Kinney III, Clinton, Marvin Wayne Kinney, Blairstown, William Myron Kinney, Harrisonville, and Marion Marshall Kinney, Warrensburg; two daughters, Theressa Ann Morrison, Harrisonville, and Mary Ella Evans, Clinton; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Threna Nadine Dillion; five brothers; two sisters; and four grandchildren. Graveside services and burial was held Saturday, February 10, 2001 at Holden Cemetery, under the direction of Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden. Reverend Lee Holland officiated. Pallbearers were Robert Kinney, Tom West, George Dillon, Donn Evans, Jr., Bill Kinney, and Gary Carter. Honorary pallbearers were Les Morrison, Luke Anthony Morrison, and Darrell Morrison. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Holden First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. THEODORE G. BROCKHAUS Theodore G. Brockhaus, 88, a resident of Chilicothe, MO, passed away at Morningside Center in Chillicothe on Feb. 7. He was born on Feb. 25, 1912, the son of George Henry and Mary (Lohe) Brockhaus in Holden. In 1939, he married Estelle Johnson, in Holden. She survives at the home. He was a self-employed milk hauler and farmer. He served in the US Army during WWII from 1943 until 1946. He moved to Chillicothe in 1951 from Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of the Vern R. Glick Post Number 25, Knights of Columbus Council 1084 Third Degree and St. Columbans Catholic Church, all in Chillicothe. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Christina Clouse and Georgia Oser, both of Warrensburg; one brother, Herbert Brockhaus, of Kingsville; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Clara Ragan, Cecilia Ruether and Martha Hansen, and four brothers, Curtis, Leonard, Hilary and Ray Brockhaus. Funeral services were held on Fri., Feb. 9 at St. Columbans Catholic Church in Chillicothe, with Father Matt Rotert officiating. Pallbearers were Charlie Stedem, Ed Thomas, Bob Smith, George Brockhaus, LeRoy Gudde, Curt Brockhaus, and Ran Haas.
