FERN E. TALLMAN

  Fern E. Tallman, 91, of Knoxville, TN., passed away Monday, October 23, 2000 
at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital.
  She was born in Kingsville, Missouri, in 1909.  She was a member of the Second 
United Methodist Church.  She was active in the family business until the age of 
85 with her two sons at Tallman Produce Co. and Tallman Transport, Inc.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse N. Tallman.
  Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Ethel Tallman, 
Charles and Virginia Tallman, all of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Jessie 
and Floyd Ludwig, Powell, TV; grandchildren, Mike Tallman, Dan Tallman, Steve 
Tallman, David Tallman, Frank Tallman, Gary Tallman, Judy Loveday, Mark Ludwig, 
Greg Ludwig, Rob Ludwig, Jason Ludwig; 17 great grandchildren and three great 
great grandchildren; sisters, Edna Batchel and Mary Nowell, both of 
Independence; and Clara Brooks, Kansas City; several neices and nephews.
  Funeral services were held Thursday, October 26, 2000 at Rose Mortuary Mann 
Heritage Chapel, with the Reverend Gerald McFarland and Reverend Gary Smith 
officiating.
  Pallbearers were Mark Ludwig, Greg Ludwig, Rob Ludwig, Jason Ludwig, Frank 
Tallman, Gary Tallman.  Honorary pallbearers were Mike Tallman, Steve Tallman, 
Dan Tallman, David Tallman.
  Interment was at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
